Put a half cup of soda in a gallon of water and throw the toy in. Give it a good soaking. Repeat this part of the cleaning if you don’t feel confident that the smell is coming out. Trust me; it might not end well! Boil your silicone toy in the water for about 15-20 minutes and then let it dry. This should help remove the smell and disinfect your toy very well.
No need to go to quite that extreme though. Silicone toys can be put in the oven at 350°F for an hour. Won’t affect it, kills bacteria and odor. No need for a pan - use a piece of aluminum foil if it’s too small to place on the rack by itself. Works better than boiling and no need for harsh or messy chemicals.
